1) Scope of application

This page sets out the warranty conditions applicable to products purchased through PlcWiz. PlcWiz is owned and operated by Northshore Commerce OÜ, Pärnu mnt. 139b - 14, Tallinn, 11317, Estonia.

Where offered, the warranty period may vary depending on the product purchased and may extend up to 2 years. The applicable warranty period for each product, if any, will be indicated in the quotation, order confirmation and/or commercial documentation provided by PlcWiz. For some products, no warranty may be offered.

2) Warranty coverage

The warranty applies exclusively to manufacturing defects or defects attributable to the manufacturer that arise during the applicable warranty period indicated for the product.

The warranty covers, by way of example, material defects, assembly defects, production defects and malfunctions attributable to an inherent defect in the product.

Any warranty claim shall be subject to technical verification and confirmation that the reported defect actually falls within the scope of the warranty coverage.

3) Warranty exclusions

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  • normal wear and tear of the product;
  • damage caused by incorrect installation, improper assembly or misuse;
  • damage resulting from negligence, improper handling, impact, dropping, tampering or unauthorised repair attempts;
  • damage caused by non-compliant electrical connections, overvoltage, power surges or incorrect power supply;
  • damage caused by external agents, including but not limited to dust, humidity, liquids, corrosion, excessive heat, fire or weather events;
  • defects or incompatibility resulting from an incorrect application or use not in accordance with the product’s technical specifications;
  • products modified, altered, disassembled or repaired without prior written authorisation from PlcWiz;
  • cosmetic defects or visible damage that do not affect the functioning of the product, unless reported promptly upon delivery;
  • consumables, components subject to normal deterioration, or parts whose lifespan depends on conditions of use.

4) Conditions for warranty validity

In order to benefit from the warranty, the Customer must use, install and store the product properly and in accordance with the instructions, technical specifications and normal intended use.

The warranty is valid only for defects reported within the applicable warranty period indicated in the quotation or in the commercial documentation relating to the product.

PlcWiz reserves the right to request proof of purchase, photographs, videos, order number, product code, serial number where applicable, a detailed description of the defect, and any other information useful for evaluating the case.

5) Procedure for claiming warranty

To request warranty assistance, the Customer must write to support@plcwiz.com, including at least:

  • order number or invoice reference;
  • product code;
  • a detailed description of the defect found;
  • clear photographs of the product and the defect;
  • videos showing the defect or malfunction, where possible.

Once the request has been received, PlcWiz will contact the Customer with the procedure to follow for technical verification and, where applicable, replacement or other handling of the case.

6) Technical verification

All warranty requests are subject to technical verification by PlcWiz and/or the relevant manufacturer or supplier.

The mere reporting of a problem does not automatically mean that the warranty claim will be accepted. PlcWiz reserves the right to inspect the product, request the return of the goods, perform technical tests, or involve the manufacturer before confirming the applicability of the warranty.

7) Available remedies

If the warranty claim is accepted, PlcWiz may, at its discretion and depending on the availability of the manufacturer or supplier, proceed with one of the following solutions:

  • repair of the product;
  • replacement of the product;
  • replacement with an equivalent or compatible product;
  • issuance of a credit note or refund, where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

The solution applied will be determined based on the nature of the defect, product availability and the technical assessment carried out.

8) Shipping and costs

PlcWiz will inform the Customer of the procedure to follow for any return of the product.

If the defect is confirmed as covered by warranty, PlcWiz will inform the Customer how return and/or replacement shipping costs will be handled.

If, following verification, the defect is found not to be covered by warranty, PlcWiz reserves the right to charge any testing, handling, transport, return or other costs incurred.

9) Limitations

This warranty covers only the defective product and does not extend to indirect, consequential or economic losses, including but not limited to plant downtime, loss of production, loss of profit, installation/removal costs, or damage to third parties.

The warranty applies only within the limits set out on this page and in the commercial documentation relating to the product.

10) Contact

For any warranty-related request, the Customer may contact PlcWiz by writing to support@plcwiz.com.
